A Bit of Inspiration – The Lane Forest Courtyard Gardens

Every now and then we all need some inspiration. That’s what Lane Forest Products President Susan Posner had in mind when she decided to create our Courtyard Gardens, an employee-maintained collection of hardscape and garden ideas to inspire us all.

The courtyard is located just behind the drive-up kiosk at our main Eugene location and offers a variety of different vignettes to showcase possibilities in one’s landscape. There are examples of everything from BBQ patios to water features and an outdoor shower.

One of the many examples of a feature you can install in your landscape, the water feature above is something special. Water features not only add beauty, but a serene ambient sound as well that can be oh so soothing.

Here is a different view from the gardens that features our custom cylindrical water feature, a firewood wall (which makes a nice decorative divider), and some flowering water plants. The awnings create a relaxing scene no matter the time of year and can be an ideal spot for an outdoor luncheon.

The grill has been known to cook up some great food during events at Lane Forest Products. Flanked by custom built natural stone counters and a hidden place for the propane tank, it fits any type of outdoor gathering.

Our courtyard garden also features one of our fireplace kits, which comes complete with fire brick, hearth and spark arrestor – everything you need in one convenient package. For the more adventurous builder, we have a great example of a fireplace made of natural stone.

This peaceful pathway through the gardens draws visitors to a custom mosaic constructed from Indonesian pebbles.
