Recycling Yard Team Member

Lane Forest Products owns and operates two recycling centers in Eugene and Springfield. We are seeking friendly and capable individuals at our Eugene location. The right candidate must enjoy working outdoors and being on their feet for full 8 – 10 hour shifts. This position assists customers with unloading yard debris, traffic control, and to assists in various production operations, all while maintaining a safe working environment.

This position will be working at our Eugene location at 2111 Prairie Road

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates will be trained to operate a loader and in the use of other equipment.

Lane Forest Products is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant with strong analytical skills.  This person will need to possess a high degree of attention to detail to process the daily administrative paperwork of our Wholesales Division.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily Ticket Data Entry into custom database
  • Filing / Auditing / Archiving
  • Sorting and Filing Daily work
  • Some Processing of Invoices, Billings, and Statements
  • Some Customer / Vendor Support

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3 + years of data entry, basic accounting and/or general administrative duties required
  • Effective verbal and written communication techniques.
  • Ability to prepare reports, coordinate and provide customer and vendor service
  • Some Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Process improvement skills, analytical thinking and problem solving

Kiosk Operator

Kiosk Operator

Lane Forest Products is currently looking for a Kiosk Operator in the Wood Recycling yard.

Your primary responsibility will be greeting customers at the Kiosk and assessing the quantity of their load to charge accordingly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open yard gates and Kiosk on time each morning.
  • Check out loaders and forklift that will be used that day.
  • Maintain control of traffic flow and customer dumping area.
  • Ensure customers don’t leave unwanted items in the yard.
  • Operate Forklift, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
  • Operate Little Tractor, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • High school or GED Diploma
  • Some basic customer service/cashier experience preferred
  • Be able to lift and pull 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday

Heavy Equipment Lube Technician

Heavy Equipment Lube Technician

Lane Forest Products is currently seeking a full-time Lube Technician for Heavy Equipment; applicant must be highly motivated, self-directed and willing to work Swing Shift. Regular base pay plus Shift Differential.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Consult with shop foreman/shop manager and read work orders to determine work required.
  • Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined.
  • Order parts needed for repairs/services.
  • Perform basic lube oil and filter services as directed.
  • Perform other basic preventive maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Legibly and accurately record services performed, time accrued and parts used.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Duties may include cleaning the lube truck.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Attend & complete required technical training programs and schools as required

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Basic Computer knowledge, basic keyboarding skills, ability to read & write in English
  • Minimum two years’ experience.
  • Basic knowledge and skills required to perform preventive maintenance on the equipment
  • Provide own basic hand and/or power tools
  • Have a valid driver’s license, maintain a good driving record

WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Technicians usually work in the field or in the shop when possible.
  • You will be on your feet up to 8 hours a day and often lift heavy parts and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • You will handle greasy or dirty equipment, and work in uncomfortable positions.
  • Technicians will need to follow safety precaution and utilize personal protective equipment

Lane Forest Products is looking for Dump Truck, Blower Truck and Heavy Haul Semi Drivers with good mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a knack for providing excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A clean driving record with a Class A or B CDL and medical certification
  • Good working knowledge of the Lane County Area
  • Available to work a full-time schedule which can include Saturdays
  • Able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ensure proper payment and complete required paperwork
  • Problem solve while at delivery site
