Field Mechanic

Field Mechanic

Lane Forest Products is currently seeking an experienced Field Mechanic, who will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment, and machinery. The right candidate will have the ability to trouble shoot and repair basic and complex systems and must have the ability to work independently.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completing all general maintenance and repair work as directed by the Shop Manager.
  • Independently making repair decisions based on safety, business needs and resources available.
  • Operating the field service truck in remote and rugged locations safely and effectively.
  • Completing advanced welding repairs; should have knowledge of arc, wire and cutting techniques.
  • Also, operates diagnostic software: CAT ET, CAT SIS, and Cummins Insite diagnostic programs. Operates CAT loader 950G & 950H & John Deere Excavator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years experience in the maintenance of heavy equipment required
  • 2 years related trade school training may be substituted for 2 years’ experience
  • Experience repairing suspensions, brakes, clutches, hydraulics and electrical systems required to perform periodic inspections and lube services.
  • Must possess Windows based software skills to accomplish job data entry and use laptop computers for diagnostic operations.
  • Valid Driver License
  • Travel in company supplied vehicles to remote locations, typically returning daily.
  • Required to supply own tools adequate to skill level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Forklift
  • Ensure that all retail customers’ needs are being met
  • Stock retail yard with sufficient quantities of merchandise to meet customers’ needs
  • Merchandise products according to company standards
  • Responsible for maintenance, appearance and security of company property including landscaping and product areas
  • Assist in ordering and receiving merchandise
  • Maintain all equipment and records
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Forklift experience preferred but not required
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to calculate square/cubic footage and yardage
  • Working knowledge of inventory management including buying, appropriate in-stock levels and retail pricing preferred

Heavy Equipment Operator

Lane Forest Products is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for Off Site Production. The position includes operating a Large Loader’s, Excavators, Grinders and Screens. Feed different type processing equipment, clean and maintain all equipment. Works with team to ensure safe, accurate and productive work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete mobile and stationary equipment maintenance as necessary
  • Layout and make soil and custom mixes to specifications
  • Operate Front End Loader and Forklift, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary

POSSIBLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Boom Lift/Aerial Platform Lifts
  • Operate Excavator
  • Operate Dozer

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 Years Large Loader and Excavator Experience Preferred
  • Heavy equipment Experience Preferred
  • General knowledge of required maintenance of the equipment for safe operation preferred
CDL Class A or B Drivers

CDL Class A or B Drivers

Lane Forest Products is looking for Dump Truck, Blower Truck and Heavy Haul Semi Drivers with good mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a knack for providing excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A clean driving record with a Class A or B CDL and medical certification
  • Good working knowledge of the Lane County Area
  • Available to work a full-time schedule which can include Saturdays
  • Able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ensure proper payment and complete required paperwork
  • Problem solve while at delivery site
  • Basic math skills
