Operations Analyst

Lane Forest Products is looking for an Operations Analyst to support our management team’s decision making with data analysis, research an report creation. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will seek continuous improvement of their own job and the organization as a whole. Good communication skills, ability to work well as a member of a team, and a commitment to thorough and accurate analysis are crucial in this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze Inventory, Sales, and Logistics data to help find opportunities to increase profitability.
  • Support Inventory Management & Purchasing with historic and expected material needs.
  • Provide timely, accurate and complete data to aid management with decision making across the company.
  • Work with Database Programmer to further streamline, integrate and develop various information systems.
  • Compile reports for the various business functions within company
  • Help Forecasting efforts, and development of improved forecasting tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance-Preferred
  • At least one year experience with Access, Crystal Reports and Excel
  • 3 years of data maintenance, basic accounting and/or general administrative duties
  • Intuitive understanding of datasets and ability to find trends
  • Some familiarity with SQL and use of databases

Lane Forest Products owns and operates two recycling centers in Eugene and Springfield. We are seeking friendly and capable individuals at our Eugene location. The right candidate must enjoy working outdoors and being on their feet for full 8 – 10 hour shifts. This position assists customers with unloading yard debris, traffic control, and to assists in various production operations, all while maintaining a safe working environment.

Production Yard Laborer

Lane Forest Products is currently seeking a production yard laborer. The production yard labor position handles all aspects of site/facility maintenance. The position will handle off-site clean-up and work in production operations as required. Work with the team on site to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains the cleanliness and order of the site
  • Assist Production Operators as needed
  • Move/repair irrigation pipe, clean catch basins, and water compost
  • Firewood processing to include cutting and splitting, by hand or with equipment
  • Take temperatures and keep a log of all compost rows as required
  • Operate Water Truck, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
  • Operate Forklift, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
  • Operate Little Tractor, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Blower Truck Assistant

Blower Truck Assistant

Lane Forest Products is seeking a Blower Crew Assistant. This position provides labor support and assists in all job duties of the mulch blowing. Training and advancement opportunities are available, CDL training available. Applicants must have the ability to lift fifty pounds.

Job duties include:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Assisting lead operator to complete all job duties.
  • Maintain tool inventory on truck.
  • Close attention to mulch installation and clean-up.

Field Mechanic

Field Mechanic

Lane Forest Products is currently seeking an experienced Field Mechanic, who will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment, machinery and trucks. The right candidate will have the ability to trouble shoot and repair basic and complex systems and must have the ability to work independently.

Primary Duties include completing all general maintenance and repair work as directed by the Shop Manager. Independently making repair decisions based on safety, business needs and resources available. Operating the field service truck in remote and rugged locations safely and effectively. Completing advanced welding repairs; should have knowledge of arc, wire and cutting techniques. Also, operates diagnostic software: CAT ET, CAT SIS, and Cummins Insite diagnostic programs.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3 years minimum experience in the maintenance of heavy trucks and equipment required, 2 years related trade school training may be substituted for 2 years’ experience.
  • Experience repairing suspensions, brakes, clutches, hydraulics and electrical systems required to perform periodic inspections and lube services.
  • Must possess Windows based software skills to accomplish job data entry and use laptop computers for diagnostic operations.
  • Valid Driver License. CDL preferred, may be required to attain
  • This position requires travel in company supplied vehicles to remote locations, typically returning daily.
  • Required to supply own tools adequate to skill level.
