Welder/Fabricator

Welder/Fabricator

Lane Forest Products is seeking a Welder/Fabricator responsible for the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment, machinery and trucks. The successful candidate for this position will have the ability to trouble shoot and repair basic systems while learning more complex systems. This position usually works supervised while occasionally working independently. You will be expected to further your knowledge base and technical skills through formal and practical training, both on and off the job. Day Shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cut and Join metal parts for fabricating or repairing vehicle equipment, furniture, tools and various and articles, applying tools like mig-welder, plasma cutter arc welder, chop saw, oxyacetylene torch etc.
  • Design and fabricate equipment and parts for meeting special or unusual needs• Design and create holding jigs that aid in fabrication.
  • Maintain records of all work
  • Maintain routine inventory and order supplies

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Entry level Welder Fabricators are expected to pass relevant technical exams in the field
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of welding symbols and blueprint reading skills
  • Ability to work with complicated welding tools like ox-fuel, plasma and mag drills
  • Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of metals used for cutting, welding and forming objects
  • Able to identify proper power and hand tools in the safest manner

Delivery Truck Driver - Class B CDL

Delivery Truck Driver – Class B CDL

Lane Forest Products is looking for experienced Delivery Truck Drivers with the following qualifications:

  • A clean driving record with a Class B CDL and medical certification
  • Good working knowledge of the Lane County Area
  • Available to work a full-time schedule which can include Saturdays

Blower Truck Assistant

Blower Truck Assistant

Lane Forest Products is seeking a Blower Crew Assistant. This position provides labor support and assists in all job duties of the mulch blowing. Training and advancement opportunities are available, CDL training available. Applicants must have the ability to lift fifty pounds.

Job duties include:

Lane Forest Products is seeking an entry level Rail Yard Maintenance person at our Prairie Road location. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the site, performing basic maintenance on equipment and providing support to production operators as needed. This position also requires operation of a forklift and other machinery after completion of company provided training, as well as other duties as assigned.

Field Mechanic

Field Mechanic

Lane Forest Products is currently seeking an experienced Field Mechanic, who will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment, machinery and trucks. The right candidate will have the ability to trouble shoot and repair basic and complex systems and must have the ability to work independently.

Primary Duties include completing all general maintenance and repair work as directed by the Shop Manager. Independently making repair decisions based on safety, business needs and resources available. Operating the field service truck in remote and rugged locations safely and effectively. Completing advanced welding repairs; should have knowledge of arc, wire and cutting techniques. Also, operates diagnostic software: CAT ET, CAT SIS, and Cummins Insite diagnostic programs.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3 years minimum experience in the maintenance of heavy trucks and equipment required, 2 years related trade school training may be substituted for 2 years’ experience.
  • Experience repairing suspensions, brakes, clutches, hydraulics and electrical systems required to perform periodic inspections and lube services.
  • Must possess Windows based software skills to accomplish job data entry and use laptop computers for diagnostic operations.
  • Valid Driver License. CDL preferred, may be required to attain
  • This position requires travel in company supplied vehicles to remote locations, typically returning daily.
  • Required to supply own tools adequate to skill level.
