Millwright / Fabricator

Millwright / Fabricator

Lane Forest Products has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Millwright/Fabricator on our day shift! This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment, machinery and trucks. The right candidate will have the ability to trouble shoot and repair basic to complex systems, as well as experience with basic welding repairs.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3 years minimum experience in Industrial Maintenance, 2 years related trade school training may be substituted for 2 years’ experience.
  • Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and uptime
  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatics systems
  • Fabrication, cutting with a torch, welding with arc welder
  • Troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors
  • Precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings and pumps, lubrication
  • Experience on a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
  • Willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
  • Valid Driver License. CDL preferred,
  • Requires travel in company supplied vehicles to all company locations.
  • Able to supply own tools adequate to skill level

Dump Truck and Heavy Haul Semi Drivers

Lane Forest Products is looking for Dump Truck and Heavy Haul Semi Drivers with good mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a knack for providing excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A clean driving record with a Class A or B CDL and medical certification
  • Good working knowledge of the Lane County Area
  • Available to work a full-time schedule which can include Saturdays
  • Able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.        
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ensure proper payment and complete required paperwork
  • Problem solve while at delivery site
  • Basic math skills
Production Maintenance

Production Maintenance

The production yard maintenance position handles all aspects of on and off-site/facility maintenance. The position will handle off-site clean-up and work in production operations as required. Work with the team on site to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains the cleanliness and order of the site
  • Assist Production Operators as needed
  • Move/repair irrigation pipe, clean catch basins, and water compost
  • Firewood processing to include cutting and splitting, by hand or with equipment
  • Take temperatures and keep a log of all compost rows as required
  • Operate Water Truck, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
  • Operate Forklift, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
  • Operate Little Tractor, complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High school or GED Diploma
  • Some basic job experience
  • Be able to lift and pull 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday
  • Work outside year around and some overnight travel
  • Forklift or Light Loader experience Preferred
Production Operator

Production Operator

Lane Forest Products is looking for an experienced Production Operator who would be responsible for operating loaders, excavators, grinders, and screens in a variety of applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain personal and companywide housekeeping
  • Layout and make soil and custom mixes to specification.
  • Feed screening plants and grinding plants productively and safely
  • Operate Forklift
  • Operate All Front End Loaders
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operator experience required
  • Excavator and a mechanical background preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to calculate square/cubic footage and yardage
  • Working knowledge of inventory management including buying, appropriate in-stock levels and retail pricing preferred
  • Point of sale experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50lbs frequently during the day

Lane Forest Products has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Shipping and Receiving Clerk at our Prairie Road location. The Shipping Receiving Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service. This individual maintains accurate records of inventory, ships, delivers and receives orders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year Shipping and Receiving experience preferred
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Basic Computer and math skills (Counterpoint experience a plus)’
  • Maintain clean and organized work area
